Gloster Show Cage & Leg bands

Below you will find diagrams which are useful should you want to build your own show cages. You will also find the Sherwin Williams paint formula which is used in the United States in an attempt to achieve a uniform green show cage interior color. Due to the various woods used in cage construction, the way in which the wood is sanded and sealed, and the primers used, it is difficult to achieve absolute uniformity.

 

Leg Bands & Drinkers

The IGBA offers closed, traceable aluminum Leg Bands of high quality to members. The bands cost $8.00 for 25 bands plus $2.00 for shipping and handling if they are to be mailed. Bands may be ordered from the IGBA Secretary/Treasurer.

Show Cage Drinkers. Both the International Gloster Breeders Association and the National Gloster Club allow the use of the tall, black based Mini-Drinker in place of the "D" cup drinker. An exhibitor may use one or the other but not both.
